Serving Options Table
Option 1 - Self Serve
As we cook on-show in front of your guests, we place the entrees/finger food on platters and put it on your tables for your guests to help themselves to. For option 1 it is assumed that guests are standing and we continue to replenish the platters with more food. This is what we call Self Serve. On occasion clients provide a family member to take the platters around the room, a nice relaxed touch but certainly not necessary. This form of service is informal though still professional.
Main Course & Desserts This option is unique and fun as we invite your guests to the woks where they take a noodle box or bowl and we serve them directly from the wok. This is the most popular form of our service as the food looks impressive in the large woks and guests are excited to see the various choices on offer. Once served your guest then move away to eat our cuisine standing or sit themselves down.
Option 2 - Standing Food / Entrees / Yum Cha / Finge Food / Cocktail food
Most wedding clients have us serving Finger Food as
a) Standing food - self service; Flying Woks places the entrees/fingerfood on table(s) for your guests to serve themselves
b) Standing food - floor staff by Flying Woks serving your guests standing (additional charge for staff costs)
c) Standing food - floor staff by Venue - serving your guests stading ( no additional charge by F/W)
d) Entrees / finger food served to the table as shared platters (additional fees)
e) Entrees / Finger Food served to the table as individuals serves (additional fees)
f) Some combination of the above ( eg some finger food served standing followed by some entrees to the table)
The cost of service of entrees/fingerfood depends on many things such as ;
- How big is the room?
- How many guests per table
- If finger food is served standing is it served in a separate room to where the mains are being served ?
- Is staff moving the food through a marquee, venue, garden setting?
- How many entrees / finger food per person?
- How long is the service time for entrees / starters ?

The banquet option is served to the table and your guests help themselves from shared platers we bringn to the tables The price includes platters of entrees and/or mains being brought to the table by out waiter team and your guests are free to help themselves. Prices include the best disposable crockery & cutlery available or you can use your own if you have a preference or that provided by the venue.
Option 4 - Individual Table Service
This option is for when you require individual serves of food to be served to the table. Eg for a wedding for 100 guests we would plate up your pre-chosen range of finger food and make up 100 plates of combination of each item and serve this to the table. For main courses we would serve a portion of each main course (usually three choices though you can have more) in a noodle box/bowl/plate/bento box to the table for each guest. Yes certainly. We can serve from either our customer made wok barbecues or if you prefer a ban marie set up and can serve for extended hours and collect the following day.
